Note about Android 7.0 (Nougat) compatibility

Unfortunately I don’t have a test device with Android 7.0+ (“Nougat”) on it, so I cannot guarantee that SIFAM will run properly on it. In any case, the Xposed Framework isnt yet available for Android 7.0+, so you won’t be able to RootCloak to avoid SIF’s root check. At this time I do not recommend updating to Android 7.0 (“Nougat”) and above.

There is now an experimental hack that adds RootCloak-like root hiding, and is compatible with Android 7.x, called suhide. More details are on the Getting around SIF’s root check page.

Update 03/17/2017 - I have released a new testing release, v0.9.0-DEV1, that adds preliminary support for Nougat. If you are willing to help, Id appreciate it if you could download it and give it a try and let me know if it works for you or if you are still having problems. You can find it on the new Bleeding Edge Releases page.

Update 03/21/2017 - Version 0.9.1 has been released and is available for download and on the Play Store. It adds preliminary support for Android 7.x (“Nougat.”) It also includes other miscellaneous bug fixes. NOTE: Support for Android 7.x is still in a preliminary state. Please report any bugs or problems you experience.
